Oh what a week it has been, from not having talked to Josh for 3 days to Jacob teething i am worn out, and i know most of you think oh well the week isnt even over yet, Well our days all run together..."the days feel like years when you're gone" So for me it has been a long week.

My Child does not like or want anything he did 2 weeks ago, he doesn't want a bath, or mac and cheese or grilled cheese, finally after 2 days of eating close to NOTHING he ate some noddles for me but g'ssss to have his self control:) I feel bad that he doesn't want anything but find myself torn between sticking to my guns with only offering 2 choices so as not to fall into a bad habit or getting him to just EAT, The fever is gone so ya think he would be feeling better but NOPE all he wants to do is throw tantrums and drink milk, which then causes brain freeze and he gets angry all over.
Boy i hope those teeth break threw soon, i blog about this b/c i am hoping that the dis liking everything is all part of the defiant phase Maggie and i talk about with our 1 year olds. Just testing and exploring i suppose.
I have photos to prov this somewhat monotoned child is capable of throwing a fit, it used to only be for an exact reason but now it last all day!!! check back for those, it is bed time at last oh and please be praying that there are only 4 or so weeks to go for the Garner family

You need a lot of patience with children and you will be fine. It is hard at times, but keep you cool and stay firm. He will adjust. I still walk away from Joel and Jason when the they throw a fit. Yes, Jason will still do it and so will Joel, but his are getting fewer and fewer. They know that I will not talk to them about it until they calm down. I know Jacob doesn't talk in complete sentences yet, but if you try not to give him the attention when he has these fits, then he will realize that it won't work.

Take care.

Oh goodness, Adam is doing the EXACT same things right now!!! He hasn't eaten hardly anything in days, even the items he loved just a week ago. And you and I share the opinion about sticking to our guns and only offering healthy choices, so I feel your pain! It's so frusterating - isn't it? I have tried so many new foods with no success, but he will eat ice cream whatya know... He is cutting more teeth too and it has been extremely hot here so I guess that's why. I'm sorry for your struggles, but relieved to hear it's not just my child refusing to eat :). Is J taking any steps yet? ADam is cruising around and gets into EVERYTHING now.

Okay well I think about you guys all the time and wish the 3 of you well.

P.S. We still up for DW 2010??? Hope so!!!

Oh boy I wish I was there with you to help with him. things will get better when Josh comes hone remember just to walk away try even when he throws his fits to put him in his crib and shut the door. he will learn that he cant play or get to you when he does this. I love you and all three talk to this week
