Mark Your Calendars

Hello Everyone, it has been awhile but nothing to eventful has taken place, we have been staying busy and having fun in the sun, We go to the pool and are off on our second beach trip Tomorrow morning.

Jacob is so close to walking, i still think he is waiting for his daddy which i can with some hesitation say he will be home at the end of NEXT week. WOW i say it with hesitation because as we have all seen the Army can be so unpredictable.

So until we get that phone call we stay busy!!!!!

Oh yes and now the most exciting news, We are coming home, after a long deployment Josh wants nothing more then to relax with his family in his great state of PA so here we come August 19th we arrive in Philadelphia, and we stay until Sept 14th, we are looking forward to seeing all of you and even hitting the wonderful Grange Fair!!

Ok i tried to insert a photp but keep being kicked off the internet, so next time i promise!!!!!

Watermelon and Fireworks!!!!

Two things I love and i am sure glad Jacob picked it up....We spent our 4th at a picnic with the Darlings, Jacob ate all the watermelon he could get, especially from our New Zealand friend Amanda, he just loves her accent, we also had grilled chicken and salad that Jacob enjoyed as well. Jacob and Kennedy swam in the pool and then took a late nap to prepare for the base fireworks show.
Jacob LOVED the fireworks, he sat and gazed at them and pointed, giggled and cuddled with mom and the other ladies we were with. This was Jacob's 2nd 4th of July but a huge improvement from the 1st, when it hailed so badly my sun roof in the upstairs bathroom shattered!!!

Jacob had his 1 year appt on Thursday, he is 13 months old now, 31 inches long and 20.3 lbs, The dr isn't too concerned but he hasn't gained in 2 months, they unfortunately had to draw blood, so it will be tested for any abnormalities, we are sure everything is fine and if there isn't an improvement in the next 5 mths the pediatrician will look into it. However he says that Jacob has stayed tall and thin on his chart and not to worry. he advised me to take away juice and cookies, these have tons of calories and baby's tend to fill up on them rather then eat. Jacob only get about a 1/4 cup of Juice mixed with water so i wont be taking it away, so now if i can convince Rose to stop giving Jacob 3 cookies each time we are over maybe it will help, of course that would mean getting Jacob to not point as he babbles "ca ca ca" he knows what that word means!!!!
Jacob's new favorite game is to point to things and have you tell him what it is, he can recall where the deer head is in his room if i say to him "wheres your deer?" also in the tub he was able to show me where on the page the duck was!!!! my little boy is soooooo smart!!!!

We are both doing well otherwise and had a wonderful holiday, we continue our count down but dates of course being thrown around, just continue to pray that he arrives safely!!!

Proverbs22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he will not depart from it.
